"I absolutely hate having to write a bad review but in this case I feel I must. I had a policy with Carl Murray State Farm for 6 months and the first 2 months was a nightmare. I took out an PAP (personal article policy) to cover my wedding rings and additional items and a few days later the unthinkable happens and I lost my wedding ring along w/my mind. Turns out the PAP was never completed and I didn't have any coverage. After many tears, and calls, the agency finally intervened and the situation was resolved. ( I would like to send a great appreciation and THANK YOU to PAMILA BETHEA for all of her help) In March I received notification that my PAP was cancelled (due to having a claim) once I received this I contacted the office to follow up on my auto/homeowner policy. At this point I'm told I never had full coverage on both of my vehicles only liability, they sent me quotes for full coverage. A few weeks later I received an text telling me my insurance payment was late I contacted the office the next day and was told my policy was fine, the following Monday I received and email telling me my policy had cancelled. I contacted the office and was told my policy was current-turns out they were only looking at my homeowners policy not the auto- the young lady said she was sorry but there was nothing they could do to help. I was told they only write 6 months policies- however I was unaware of that, since the homeowners policy auto renewed I expected the auto to do the same.- My advice is please be intentional when getting the information you need- I was asked several times who did I speak to- but that really didn't matter if it was not noted in the account."

While we always strive to provide the highest level of service at the agency level, there are some aspects — especially regarding claims and policy cancellations — that are managed directly through State Farm corporate, and unfortunately outside of our local office's control. We completely understand how confusing and stressful insurance processes can be, especially during difficult times, so please feel free to contact us directly so we can personally address any remaining concerns. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us as we continue to improve. If you would like to discuss anything further, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly — we are here to help in any way we can."

"I called on December 13 to cancel a policy. They asked me to send them a written request via email and I sent it the same day. They did not cancel the policy and State Farm sent another bill for the policy on December 23. I have followed up with them on December 27 and December 30 and received a response on December 31 saying "Our manager, Pamila is out of the office for the holiday and will be back to the office January 26th, 2025. She is the only one that does any and all cancellations, emails have been sent to her. Once she is back, she will process your cancellation. Thank You!" A 1.5 month delay in canceling a policy does not seem reasonable. Instead of having "only one that does any and all cancelations", they should have more people that are trained and able to cancel policies."

While we submitted your request promptly to corporate, the refund and cancellation process is handled at the corporate level and can take some time. Due to the holidays, both our local and corporate staff members were out of the office, which further delayed the processing of refunds. We hope you understand that these factors contributed to the extended timeframe. If there's anything more we can do to assist, please give us a call directly at the office."

"Carl and his staff helped execute a bond for me, not the usual fare for State Farm . The process was complicated by me being out of state, and the legal restraints on the bond, but they worked through it all( including the day before Thanksgiving ) and we got it done . Avery freindly and helpfull staff ."
